Intervention with personal support at an early stage can enable individuals to maintain their well-being and lifestyle much more easily than if support is only sought once a situation becomes unmanageable. So seek support early! If you or a relative need help with bathing or personal hygiene, early intervention can prevent the risk of such problems as urinary tract infections, which can cause confusion or falls. If you need help with preparing nutritious meals, early intervention can prevent malnutrition or dehydration, which weaken the body’s resistance to disease and make the individual more likely to fall.
The costs of such low scale support packages are extremely reasonable, particularly when compared to the benefits gained. Our team of Community Auxiliary Nurses provide personal care under the guidance of our ISS Nurse, who will visit you to arrange an individual support services (ISS) plan based on your needs. You can be sure that you are receiving the best possible care from trained professionals.
Depending on your individual circumstances, we may also recommend and provide an alarm pendant to enable you to summon help in an emergency. These are unobtrusive, whilst being extremely effective in allaying anxiety for those who live alone. In the event of a fall or other emergency, pressing the pendant allows hands free communication with our 24 hour support centre, ensuring help will be on the way within minutes.
