Memory Issues

Various conditions affecting memory and causing confusion/lack of understanding become more prevalent as we age. Such conditions can be very worrying for both the individual concerned and their family, particularly if the person affected lives alone.
Whilst fear of what may happen often prompts families to consider residential or nursing care, this is not generally the best option for the person affected. Familiar surroundings and a regular routine are key in helping the individual manage their lives effectively, and the disruption caused by selling the family home and moving into new surroundings can make their condition significantly worse.

We can provide flexible support several times a day to ensure that medication has been taken, meals eaten etc. However, we can also utilise discreet technological support to ensure the person remains safe in their own home – sensors to raise an alarm centrally if gas or water taps are left on, or door sensors that detect if someone wanders out in the middle of the night. Our rapid response teams can be there in minutes in response to an emergency, offering complete peace of mind, particularly where family do not live locally.
