About us
ISS Healthcare is a national privately owned healthcare organization. We provide a diverse range of home support services to enable people to maintain their independence. The company is owned by Linda & Michael Headley who have over 25 year’s experience of caring for people with support needs. The service was born from the realisation that whilst the care homes they owned were considered to be well run and caring, Linda and Mike knew that they would never want to live in a care home themselves.
They therefore set out to create a viable alternative. Our services were developed to provide an alternative to residential or nursing home care for those who found they needed assistance with daily routines, and pioneered the development of homecare in the UK.
We work with many private individuals and their families, private organisations, healthcare trusts and local authorities, to provide a broad range of health and social care services from regional offices across the UK.
Our vision
We believe independent life is about making choices, and achieving and maintaining your true potential as an individual, whatever your age or current health condition. We therefore provide services focused on meeting changing needs, personal aspirations and ambitions; helping you, your family or friends achieve and maintain lifestyle choices. We believe that for home care to be a viable alternative to residential and nursing home care, it must be flexible, responsive and meet more than just practical needs. It should actively promote health and emotional wellbeing.
There are many life-changing situations that all of us have to deal with as we pass through the various stages of our lives. Being able to control the effects and impact of these changes is important in enabling individuals to maintain a sense of health and well being; limiting the psychological and physical effects that life changes can present. These are important factors in enabling individuals to feel fulfilled and valued and to maximise their personal opportunities. This is just as relevant in the changes brought about through the natural ageing process.
